With a heavy mix of varied population in the East, the results have been startling. While NDTV leads the race, Star Ananda does well to turn up second as a strong regional channel. Giving it stiff competition is the business leader CNBC while others like Times Now and Aaj Tak don’t quite make the cut. Surprise has come in the form of Discovery which leaves the likes of CNN IBN and BBC behind it in making to the top 10 Informative channels in East India.
The Times of India throws up a surprise by leaving behind favourites The Telegraph and Ananda Bazaar Patrika. Economic Times does well to come up as business leading publication, while Hindu, Hindustan Times
and India Today just scrape their way through to the list.
